01.06.2020-Online Jaqpot Hackathon
On Wednesday, June 3rd 2020, the NanoCommons team, in a joint initiative with the NanoSafety Cluster, is offering an interactive online workshop on nanotoxicity prediction. Under the subtitle “Take your research from the bench to the community by making your models available as a web service”, you will learn how to use the Jaqpot suite and python to go from data to model, starting from a common CSV file. More information and registration here.
30.09.2019-Final OpenRiskNet Workshop
Dr Philip Doganis and Mr Pantelis Karatzas are participating in Final OpenRiskNet Workshop in Amsterdam (23-24 October 2019).The workshop is addressing all OpenRiskNet stakeholders (scientific, industrial and regulatory communities) that are invited to participate in this interactive event. This will ensure that all relevant and target groups that need to be aware of the project achievements have access to this information and are enabled to give feedback, and also be trained on the provided solutions. Check the workshop's agenda an stay tuned for more updates!

26.09.2019-NanoSafety Cluster Week
![]() |
UPCI, represented by Dr Philip Doganis, will be participating to NanoSafety Cluster meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark (07-10 October 2019). The 4-day event kicks off with the caLIBRAte final workshop focused on current knowledge and future outlook on stakeholder risk perception and information needs and nanosafety data availability. caLIBRAte also presents nano-specific human and environmental risk assessment and management tools tested in the project, plus the decision support tool developed, the NanoRisk Governance Portal.
A two-day Nanosafety Cluster Scientific Conference then follows, organised and sponsored by the projects NanoCommons, NanoSolveIT and NanoInformaTIX, focused on the increasingly important roles of data accessibility and predictive modelling in nanomaterials governance and risk assessment.
Towards in silico nanosafety assessment - integrating experimental and computational approaches includes oral and poster presentations from Nanosafety Cluster projects to update the community on latest nanosafety research and set the direction for the next 4 years via the nanoinformatics and nanosafety governance projects.
