Τhe Institute of Chemical Biology, located in Athens, Greece, which is part of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (ICB/NHRF), have open positions for Ph.D. students, post-doctoral researchers, and staff scientists. These positions are fully funded for several years, with funding available until February 2028, depending on the nature and goals of the position. The funding for these positions comes from the EU grant known as "hot4cryο" which I recently received. You can find more information about the grant at this link: (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101086665).

In the near future, our laboratory will establish the first cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) infrastructure in the entire South East Europe region. We will acquire three cryo-transmission electron microscopes (TEMs) with varying voltages (120 kV, 200 kV, and 300 kV), along with a cryo-focused ion beam (cryo-FIB) instrument. In addition, we will upgrade our computational infrastructure and biochemical labs to support these cutting-edge facilities.

We are currently seeking talented scientists specializing in the fields of electron cryo-microscopy and computational structural biology. The positions will be available to start as soon as possible. For detailed information about the positions and application process, please refer to this document: (http://www.eie.gr/nhrf/calls/careers/2023/2023_NHRF_ICB_CryoEM_openCall.pdf).
For further information, please contact Dr Panagiotis Kastritis at pkastrit@eie.gr. Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and CV for consideration.
