Dr. Athanasios (Thanos) Porfyris holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering since 2009 and a PhD in Chemical Engineering since 2016. He is a member of PolymerApps group since 2008, when he started his Diploma Thesis on the synthesis of long-segment aliphatic polyamides in the solid state. His PhD Thesis focused on direct solid state poly-condensation (DSSP) of semi-aromatic polyamide salts. Since 2010, he also contributes in the demonstration of several laboratory/workshop exercises. He has published in Macromolecular Materials and Engineering Journal and in the Journal of Applied Polymer Science, and has presented his research work in international conferences. He also holds an international Patent.
