Constantine Papaspyrides is a Professor in Polymer Science and Technology at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), since 1994. He has been President and Vice-President of the School of Chemical Engineering at the NTUA and Visiting Professor/Consultant in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Eidgenoessische Technische Hochschule Zuerich (ETH), E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, Inc. / Invista, Inc., CIBA Lampertheim GmbH/BASF GmbH, and Royal DSM N.V.

His current research interests are in the following areas:

• Polyamides / Polyesters Science and Technology. Green Solid State Polycondensation Processes

• Migration of Additives from Plastics. Packaging / ”Nano”-Packaging

• Polymers and Nanotechnology. Nanocatalysis. Nanocomposites. Flame Retardancy

• Polymers and Biotechnology. Biodegradable Polymers

• Waste Management and Recycling of Plastics. Recycling and Migration. Recycling of Polymeric Composite Materials

• Polymeric Composite Materials / Flexible Textile Structures:  Preparation and End-Properties Tailoring

He serves in the editorial board of International Editions on Polymers and he holds Refereed Publications in International Scientific Journals, US/European Patents with Industry, Books, and Presentations in International Scientific Events.
