Development of thermodynamic models for phase equilibria prediction
(cubic EoS, EoS/GE models). Applications of thermodynamics to polymer
mixtures and supercritical fluid extraction. Computational analysis
of Transport Phenomena: Discretization of conservation equations
by combining the methods of Galerkin weighted residuals and finite
element. Solution and parametric analysis of linear and nonlinear
equation sets. Development and implementation of computer codes
to study realistic cases including complex geometry, composite boundary
conditions, coexisting transport mechanisms (e.g. conduction, convection,
reaction). Introduction to the computational fluid dynamics code
PHOENICS.
